Responsibilities

A Jr. Project Management Analyst at REI:

  • Works closely with the PMO and Delivery PMs to maintain an environment of processes, tools, templates, and practices used to effectively deliver IT project solutions to customers
  • Ensures project management policies and procedures developed by the PMO are followed across all projects
  • Takes ownership of project status reporting, ensuring project stakeholders are aware of progress against targets, positive/negative trends, and emerging risks/opportunities
  • Monitors contract deliverables, schedule progress, and project spend
  • Maintains project risk, issue, and action item logs; ensuring risks are proactively mitigated and action items tracked to closer
  • Supports project kickoff and review meetings
  • Ensure project documentation is organized and readily available for team use
  • Supports project planning activities, including drafting charters, budgets, schedules, WBS, etc.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and helps team continuously improve delivery
  • Takes full advantage of the opportunity to learn from experienced PMs and understand the “big picture” of the project
  • Develops strong working relationships with diverse team members, including Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, Test Engineers, Business Analysts, and customer stakeholders                   

Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed

Qualifications

 Required Experience/Skills

  • Candidate should have at 1-3 years of professional experience supporting / managing projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Prior experience in a PMO or management consulting firm a strong plus
  • Experience with EVM, CPIC, MS Project, or SharePoint a plus
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP), agile development (e.g. CSM), IT governance (e.g. ITIL), or quality/process improvement (e.g. CMMI) a plus
