Responsibilities

As a Java Developer, you will

  • Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of new enhancements and change requests.
  • Analyze and define the logical and physical database structure based on the requirements.
  • Perform job functions in accordance with established project standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with peers and technical leads to build robust and premium quality technical deliverables.
  • Support verification and validation activity by supporting Quality Assurance team and actively participating as and when required.
  • Write automated unit test cases to support test driven development.
  • Understand and apply quality techniques and practices (automated unit testing, Test Driven Design/Development, java performance analysis, continuous integration).
  • Comply with CMMI level 3 processes and project level technical guidelines for technical deliverables.

Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed

Qualifications

1 – 2 years of experience in designing and implementing a J2EE web application. Participation in all SDLC phases is desired. Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed.
Working knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, UNIX/Linux, Windows, and scripting languages preferred. Good understanding about responsive web design preferred. Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed.  The candidate should meet the following minimal qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience with Java, JSP, Servlets, Struts/Spring, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Good working knowledge of front-end frameworks like AngularJS, Type Script, Node.js, JQuery, KendUI etc. and AJAX is a big plus
  • Willingness and hunger to learn and innovate
  • Familiarity with agile principles
  • Experience with Weblogic Application Server or other web application servers is desirable

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of experience.
