The administrative assistant will greet visitors (customers, job candidates, guests, etc.), manage reception area, provide prompt and courteous telephone support, provide administrative support to all REI employees, maintain office facilities, provide office supplies, and plan company events.

At REI as an Administrative Assistant, you will:
Provide front office coverage, maintain designated office areas, and answer telephone calls
Route calls to appropriate staff and customer calls for helpdesk support to the designated points of contacts for each contract/program.
Order, coordinate, and manage office supplies.
Monitor and coordinate maintenance of general office equipment; maintain common use areas.
Prepare and circulate general internal correspondence, e-mail messages for general announcements.
Sign for and distribute all delivered packages.
Provide administrative support to all personnel, management, and corporate departments.
Perform and coordinate an office's administrative activities, storing, retrieving, and integrating information for dissemination to staff, management, and clients.
Develop, maintain and update documents dealing with administrative procedures and contact directories; organize and maintain paper and electronic files.
Coordinate and schedule annual staff meetings, management meetings, and corporate functions and provide necessary support.
Research venues and other vendors for the corporate meetings/events; use negotiation techniques for booking them.
Maintain and update corporate informational charts/general announcements on official bulletin boards
Perform general duties to include, but not limited to reporting, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
Maintain office calendar to coordinate meetings.
May conduct research, compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation to the Executive team and staff
Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) and ability to master similar productivity tools
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Ability to multi-task and to work under short timelines
Ability to work well in team environment of varying composition, personalities, roles and responsibilities
Professional etiquette and ability to interact with professionals and executives
Punctual, consistent and able to meet deadlines
Problem solver with strong ability to work alone in areas of core competence with minimal guidance
Willingness to share information, train and be trained, mentor and be mentored with executives, and peers
Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree. Certification in Office Management and Administrative Support is a plus.
