    REI Systems recently completed a systems modernization for a long-standing customer – one that has a variety of internal and external users. Building on the modernized system, REI will now focus on enhancing the user experience and continuing to improve the system.

    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility of the Change Management & Communications Specialist will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize user adoption, and minimize resistance to meaningful changes. The specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact the users.

     

    Day-to-Day

    • Collaborate with development team, business analysts, and clients to have a thorough understanding of system changes and potential impacts to user community
    • Create and execute change management plan in partnership with business, technology, communications and training teams
    • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
    • Communicate directly with clients on project plans and review/approval of deliverables
    • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
    • Write communications to support change management plan, such as email announcements, tip sheets, training presentations, and release notes
    • Work with trainer to create training materials, promote training sessions, and ensure training is effective
    • Meet regularly with developers and business analysts to have a pulse on development schedules and updates
    • Other assignments related to communications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management, Communications or a related field
    • Experience in managing a team of 3-5 persons
    • Experience in working with IT modernization projects with more than 1,000 users
    • Able to create client deliverables and provide executive level briefings to senior government clients
    • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
    • Experience providing change management solutions in support of large scale process/technology projects and/or other transformational initiatives
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills with editing experience
    • Ability to understand and communicate information regarding complex systems and technologies
    • Organized with a natural inclination for strategy, planning and tactics
    • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
    • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others or independently as needed
    • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
    • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
    • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology 
    • Bachelors Degree
    • Certificate or Degree in Change Management considered a plus
