  • Overview

    We are seeking a Database Developer (SQL) to join our team. As a Database Developer, your strong analytic skills and ability to solve challenges with technology will make an impact on our government clients’ critical missions, improving millions of lives across the globe. 

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor performance, ensure jobs have run successfully, and check for errors
    • Resolve Tier III data support tickets per the defined SLA
    • Identify defects based on issue trends, customer feedback, and error reporting from the system
    • Develop a script library and document for reuse in the future
    • Perform impact analysis before changes are made, implement changes, test changes, and document them
    • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills while working on a custom, mission-critical production-level database
    • Work in a collaborative office environment with other developers, business analysts, and a project management team
    • Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed

    Qualifications

    • 1 to 4 years of experience working with relational databases
    • In-depth knowledge of writing and tuning SQL Server stored procedures/functions/views/SQL Jobs
    • Experience in all aspects of MS SQL Server 2016 development
    • Understanding of the complex data model of a large Enterprise-level system for providing Tier III support
    • Understanding of logical and physical database modeling and design concepts
    • Experience in writing and modifying SSIS packages
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, information systems management, software engineering, statistics, mathematics or related discipline or professional certification and in-depth knowledge of database technology and DBA tool
    • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of experience
    • Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training, or experience
    • Work Authorization: US citizenship required
