REI Systems is looking for a Junior Test Engineer with experience in building and enhancing test automation frameworks to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the Software Verification and Validation (SV&V) team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products through software testing principles, test automation, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. Your contributions will make an impact on the critical missions of our government clients, solving challenges that aim to improve millions of lives across the globe.
Applicants must demonstrate in their resume at least 1 year of QA experience in the following:
Applicants should possess and be able to communicate a basic understanding of and have some hands-on (direct) experience with:
Applicants should have hands on or knowledge on some or all of the following:
QA, VSCode, SQL, JSON, Git Flow, Java, Junit, Selenim WebDriver and Maven.
Apache POI, Apache Groovy, Jenkins, Nexus, ElasticSearch, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Knowledge in management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA Platform, Wiki, SharePoint;
SQL- must have experience writing queries (select, update, delete)
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)- must understand basic flow
Write test cases
Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira and/or ServiceNow preferred)
Understands basic QA methodology and processes
Attention to detail
Experience with Office suite
Exposure to backend services/microservices testing is a plus;
Ability to review code and write unit test cases;
Must be a self-starter/self-directed member of the team;
Strong analytical and communication skills.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, math, or related field is desired;
An advanced degree in communications, computer science, or related discipline may be substituted for two years of experience;
will accept a suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a Government security clearance.
This position is fully remote.
