REI is looking for an experienced Director to own client delivery, people management, growth, and operations for a federal civilian account. As an Account Manager, you will bring a deep understanding of the Account’s mission and be excited about helping clients achieve their objectives and produce mission impactful results. You will work closely with an Account Business Development Director (BDD) and an Account Architect to drive solutions to address unmet client needs, grow organically off the base of existing contracts, and develop and win new business within the Account. You will mentor emerging leaders within the Account and contribute to acquiring, retaining, nurturing, and developing talent to build and sustain a high-performing Account team. In this role, you will be a key contributor in shaping and executing REI’s strategy to meet our corporate goals.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery Excellence
    • Ensure delivery excellence across a portfolio of existing programs and potential new customers within the Account
    • Responsible for client relationship management and overall customer satisfaction
    • Nurture existing partner relationships and build and maintain new ones as needed
    • Inculcate a mindset of “innovation as a habit” across the Account
  • Growing the Account
    • Drive organic growth through delivery excellence and by identifying and addressing unmet client needs
    • Prepare for, and win, re-competes of existing contracts
    • Collaborate with corporate growth and the Account BDD, to develop and qualify an addressable pipeline of new business opportunities
    • Lead and support captures and proposals to win new business and grow the Account
  • People Development
    • Collaborate with corporate recruiting to continuously recruit for new talent
    • Responsible for employee relationship management and overall employee satisfaction
    • Ensure employees understand their career path, and are coached and mentored to achieve their goals in alignment with corporate objectives
    • Build capacity and depth within the Account to mitigate dependency risk
  • Operational Rigor
    • Manage and oversee compliance of contractual requirements
    • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues
    • Monitor Account leading and lagging measures and take corrective action as required
  • Strategic Contributions
    • Leverage mission knowledge, current Account support, customer understanding, and identification of unmet needs to develop and lead execution of Account plan aligned with the strategic objectives of the company.
    • Meet Account contribution to corporate delivery, financial, employee satisfaction, and growth goals
    • Contribute to annual corporate strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to own, and be accountable for, all dimensions of the business i.e., delivery, growth, people and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to build enduring relationships in the client organization beyond the immediate client
  • Demonstrated ability to build, sustain and scale high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers across the organization to help achieve corporate goals
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering high visibility, challenging projects
  • Demonstrated track record of growing organically i.e., growth off the base of existing contracts
  • Demonstrated track record of pursuing and winning new business i.e., pipeline development, captures, bid and proposal
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of the Federal marketplace with at least 5 years of experience in one or more departments such as GSA, DHS, Commerce, Treasury, DoD, or Emerging Health
  • Experience responding to government solicitations through RFP’s and RFI’s, including writing sections, leading volumes, and participating in color teams
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field, with at least 6 years of managing multiple cross-disciplinary IT teams on large complex, programs
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain government security clearance

     

    Clearance: Eligible for Public Trust clearance.

    Education & Certifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another technical related field.
    • PMP and Certifications in Agile Project Management or equivalent, e.g. PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified Scrum Professional.

     

    Location: Hybrid - Need to come 1 or 2 days a week to Sterling VA location
