Responsibilities

Project Responsibilities: REI Systems supports DHS by providing application modernization, cloud solutions, data analytics, and agile software development. Their work enhances DHS's operational efficiency, enabling data-driven decisions and secure, scalable systems. They also offer program management support to ensure timely and effective delivery of technology solutions aligned with DHS's mission.

 

Position Responsibilities: As the Homeland Security Business Development Director at REI Systems, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding opportunities within assigned accounts. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, your duties include identifying, qualifying, and leading new business development, formulating growth strategies, and fostering relationships with government executives and industry partners. You will lead pursuit teams, manage proposal development, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver REI's value proposition to customers. Additionally, you will represent REI at industry events and support brand development efforts while strategizing for organic growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 12 years of experience working with systems integrators in the Federal Government market.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Business Development Management, Program Management/Administration, and Capture Management.
  • Extensive network of Government and industry relationships with Homeland Security customers and major components, including but not limited to: Department of Homeland Security Headquarters (DHS HQ), US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other operational and support components.
  • Proven performance in breaking into new accounts and expanding business.
  • Proven reputation for establishing and maintaining credibility and influencing senior levels of Government customers and Industry partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizations focused on execution and growth, and build and sustain customer intimacy at the highest levels.
  • Proven experience in pursuing and capturing new federal business, including building and leveraging relationships, developing effective teaming and win strategies, and writing winning proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, as this position interfaces with all functions within the organization and a broad group of outside constituencies.
  • Ability to physically work on-site in Sterling, VA for up to 2 days per week with occasional CONUS travel.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience as an active “hands-on” leader in Business Development and/or Capture Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market and industry research analyses.
  • Working knowledge of GSA Schedules and other GWAC vehicles terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARs.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another technical related field.

 

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

 

Location: Hybrid (One day per week or as needed in the REI SYSTEMS Sterling VA Office).
