Our practice focuses on accelerating customer business results to maximize mission impact, providing an array of management consulting services. As the Senior Organizational Strategy and Change Management Specialist, you'll collaborate within a team to support Federal clients in various projects encompassing organizational development and change management, people strategies and workforce planning, and strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, among others. Your role will be pivotal in developing systematic approaches to guide clients through large-scale transformational efforts, ensuring successful outcomes by developing organizational readiness and minimizing operational risks.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Offer expert guidance to senior-level government executives on organizational transformation strategies, encompassing workforce and skill development, capacity and capability management, and organizational design.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive change management plans, including policy compliance, user adoption strategies, and business growth recommendations.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to client leadership at all levels throughout planning, transitions, operations, and user adoption.
  • Lead or independently produce high-quality deliverables, such as environmental scans, workforce plans, governance structures, organization readiness assessments, and user adoption plans.
  • Assist in identifying areas for skill investment and divestment, developing succession and contingency plans, and creating user training materials.
  • Infuse best practices and research to enhance client understanding and communicate industry-standard frameworks tailored to client context, with a focus on user-centric approaches.
  • Design and oversee outreach and inreach communications initiatives to promote user buy-in and address user concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with program/project managers to ensure alignment across clients, manage expectations effectively, and develop strategies for user feedback integration.
  • Identify and counsel on strategies that promote cross-collaboration and creative teaming across functions to execute change and obtain buy-in.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues, team members, and direct reports as needed.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal workspace culture and legislative/policy landscape.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences (e.g., senior executives, technical teams, end-users).
  • Proficiency in conducting research to identify best practices in change management and user adoption and clear presentation of complex information.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting planning and hands-on delivery in Organizational Transformation and Change Management for the Federal government and large-scale IT modernization projects.
  • Team player mindset with the ability to work collaboratively or independently as needed.

 

Preferred Experience/Skills:

 

  • Experience in program/project management, vendor management, finance, and business management.
  • Knowledge of the Administration’s priorities (e.g., OMB Memorandum M-23-15, Organizational Health and Performance; Presidential Management Agenda).
  • Results-oriented with strategic planning and tactical execution capabilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause identification.
  • Certification and/or publications related to Change Management.
  • Ability to convey complex systems and technologies in simple, user-friendly terms.
  • Strong business acumen combined with an understanding of human factors in transformational change.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering user adoption of new processes, technologies, or programs.
  • Experience in developing and delivering user training programs.
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and how to apply them to change management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record working across multi-disciplinary teams (including technical teams) in identifying, designing, and executing business transformations (e.g., policy, organizational, technical).
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with technical teams to design and execute change, particularly related to technical implementations.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

 

Clearance:  US Citizenship required.
