Position Overview: The Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cybersecurity solutions to protect our federal clients' critical information and infrastructure. This role demands a deep understanding of emerging threats and requires collaborating with various stakeholders to identify security requirements, develop secure architectural frameworks, and ensure deployment of robust security solutions that that enhance operational efficiency while mitigating risks. Successful candidates will possess a strategic mindset and be able to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions that drive business value and strengthen our clients' overall security posture.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity architectures and frameworks that meet the complex security needs of federal defense and civilian agencies that includes zero trust architecture, network security, identity & access management, supply chain security, application security, and data protection, among others.
  • Conduct risk assessments and security reviews to identify gaps in security architecture and develop a security risk management plan to mitigate potential risks and security gaps.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their cybersecurity requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ensure that acquired or developed systems and architectures are consistent with organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines and comply with federal cybersecurity guidelines and standards such as FISMA, NIST and FedRAMP.
  • Design and lead transformations, identify architectural improvements, support and develop continuous monitoring strategies to enhance security posture.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and clients on cybersecurity best practices including automation of SecDevOps processes.
  • Lead and participate in security incident response activities, including investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
  • Create detailed documentation for security architectures, configurations, and procedures. Prepare and present reports on security status, vulnerabilities, and risk management to senior management.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in advisory groups that provide federal cyber defense guidance and requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a solutions architect role.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions in a federal government environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as Zero Trust Architecture, SIEM, EDR, XDR, MDR, and data encryption.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
     

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

 

Clearance:  Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. An active Top Secret security clearance is a plus.

 

Location: Hybrid, local to DC Metro.
