Responsibilities

Administer and maintain both Appian Cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring their availability, scalability, and security. This includes performing installations, configurations, upgrades, and patch management for Appian environments. Actively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for both cloud and on-prem deployments. Manage Appian Cloud security configurations, including role-based access controls, authentication protocols such as LDAP, SAML, and OAuth, while ensuring compliance with security standards. Additionally, support Appian application deployments, working closely with development teams to facilitate CI/CD pipelines. Also implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively detect issues in both cloud and on-prem environments. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and integration issues across Appian instances, collaborating with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP to optimize Appian Cloud environments. Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides, while also providing training and support to internal teams on Appian Cloud administration best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Appian architecture, deployment models, and system configurations.
  • Experience working with Appian Cloud administration tools, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools for automating deployments.
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Appian Certified Administrator certification.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud-based containerization for Appian.
  • Familiarity with integration tools such as MuleSoft, REST APIs, and Appian RPA.
  • Background in ITIL processes and incident management.

Education: BS, BA, Degree prefered

Clearance: Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
